Dursley Car Parking Consulatation

What is it about?

Following the completion of Sainsbury’s Supermarket there will be a further 100 + spaces available in the town, however all car parking spaces within the town will all be short stay (less than 3 hour). A consultation has taken place which has helped us decide where the Long Stay Parking will be in the town within existing car parks. A questionnaire has been completed to record and process peoples responses. This was a great opportunity for you to support your town and have your say.

 Consultation Process

The Off-Street Car Parking Places Order needs to be amended in time to provide for permanent long stay spaces ahead of the closure of the temporary long stay car park at Long Street. A recommendation needs to be made to the March meeting of Cabinet. In preparation for the Cabinet meeting there were two public consultation events held at Dursley Library.
