- Would you like to save money on your fuel bills?
- Would you like to do this and help the environment at the same time?
- Would you also like to make your home a warmer and more comfortable place in which to live?
If the answer to these questions is YES - then Stroud District Council can help you to do all three.
This part of the site and its links are here to help to do all three of these things. But how is it possible to save money, help the environment and be warm and comfortable all at the same time?
Every time you switch on a light, watch TV, or take a bath you are using energy. Unless you are on a "green tariff" this energy probably comes from the burning of fossil fuels. This results in the release of carbon dioxide - a greenhouse gas.
By reducing the amount of electricity you use you can help to reduce the greenhouse effect.
It is possible to do things at home to change the way in which you use electricity and therefore reduce your fuel bills, help the environment, and make your home a more comfortable and warmer place to live.
