Become an organ donor

Did you know that there are more than 5,600 people in this country waiting for an organ transplant? Every year, less than 3,000 transplants are carried out and - sadly - more than 400 people die while waiting. Many lives could be saved and many more transformed if more organs were donated. Most people support organ donation, but only about 17% have actually joined the NHS Organ Donor Register.

Recently Stroud District Council wrote to householders in the District inviting them to sign up to the NHS Organ Donor Register. A copy of this letter and accompanying Freepost Registration Form can be downloaded by clicking the links below.
