Under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act (CNEA) 2005 we have introduced wide ranging powers to deal with antisocial and environmental crimes such as fly tipping, littering, graffiti and dog fouling.

Where are we now?
Stroud District Council has recently advertised their intention to adopt the use of fixed penalty notices through their ‘Drop it – Cop It!' education and awareness campaign, which included advertising on the back of busses, poster campaigns in schools and shops and features in the local press.
Over the next few months, SDC will be rolling out the new powers, with Members the Corporate Enforcement team having the power to serve fixed penalty notices for any offences the witnessed.
