Stroud District has a vibrant and active community, with a high concentration of people working in creative industries.
The Cotswold Canals, built in the 18th century to link England's two greatest rivers, are returning to life. Work is underway on a restoration and regeneration scheme, which will initially see a 13-mile stretch of the Canals reopened. This will bring huge benefits in terms of leisure and tourism, creating new opportunities for local businesses, sustaining local communities and improving the environment.
