Stroud District Council offers grant aid to local charities, voluntary groups, individuals and other organisations in a number of different schemes. Details are outlined below.
The Community Planning Grant Scheme is funded by Stroud District Council and is designed to help local community groups undertake one of the following:
For 2011 – 2012, grants of up to £900 are available for items 1 – 3, and up to £800 for item 4.
The scheme is managed by Gloucestershire Rural Community Council (GRCC) on behalf of Stroud District Council.

GRCC will be hosting Stroud Funding Fair on 30th September 2010 at Stroud Subscription Rooms, which will include a workshop on the grant scheme. Further details will be available soon.
The Stroud District Youth Council has it's own budget for making grant awards to young people's projects.Past grants have been for projects varying from theatre to skiing, basketball to video making and from driving to music making. Everyone in Stroud District who owns their home or rents from a private landlord is eligible for either an Energy Efficiency Grant or a discount price through the Warm and Well Scheme. Further information can be found on the energy efficiency advice pages .
