Women in Business Awards
A number of Stroud businesswomen were celebrating success after winning recognition at The Citizen and Gloucestershire Echo's Women in Business awards 2011.
The Business awards presentation dinner, held at Cheltenham Racecourse and attended by over 240 people, was hosted by Sarah Irvine, Managing Director of Gloucestershire Media.
Sarah said: “The awards are all about giving the county's female entrepreneurs the recognition they deserve. The number of entries and calibre was outstanding and to reach the finals of this competition is in itself evidence of a winning performance.”
The New Business of the Year Award went to Chilli Elephant, run by Michelle Chesterton, based in Dudbridge Meadow, Stroud. Chilli Elephant produces top quality south east Asia dinner kits with all the fresh and hard to find ingredients. www.chillielephant.co.uk
Sabrina Pace-Humphreys of Stroud based Trailblazer PR was the joint winner of the Contribution to the Community Award. As well as running her successful PR company, Sabrina is mum to four and devotes a huge amount of her spare time to voluntary work. www.trailblazerpr.com
